Kitty City - Every block is filled with feline fun!

Kity city is a city building game where you build houses, work places, intersections, and roads to connect them! Every May 18th, Scrooge McCat flies over in his helicopter and throws out cash that your people can collect! You can also upgrade your buildings and roads using powers.

Houses, workplaces and roads

The basic building blocks of Kitty City include houses, workplaces and roads. Houses and workplaces are both buildings, and can be placed by simply dragging them from the side panel and placing them into the city. Roads connect houses and workplaces, and they can be built by enabling the road in the side panel, and then click on the two buildings that you want to connect. Along with houses and workplaces, you can also build intersections, which act as a way to change the direction of roads, as they serve no purpose as buildings, so they are free. Ads are also another building that acts mostly like intersections, but we'll mention them later.

Boundraies of buildings

Every building has a boundary, which you can see as a dotted black circle that outlines the boundary of the building. When you build a building, you are not allowed to make the boundray of the building to be placed overlap with the boundrary of another building. You can toggle the visualization of the boundray by simply clicking on the image of a boundrayh on the side panel.

You may notice little cats that appear on houses, these are your citizens. Cats and their homes are linked together, and if the home is destroyed, so is the cat. A cat can be in one of three physical states; resting in their corresponding house, walking towards another building, or working in a workplace. Note that any cat can work in any workplace. A cat always follow a strict routine, rest, work, repeat. Resting and working usually take 2 seconds (2000 miliseconds), unless an upgrade is added to the cat, which will be mentioned later.

Financial management

In Kitty City, you start out with 1000 dollars. This money allows you to expand on your city. Building buildings will cost money. Every time a cat has finished working, you will make a certain amount of money. Usually this amount is 10 dollars, but upgrades can change this amount, as mentioned later.

Powers and upgrades

Upgrades in Kitty City can be accessed by clicking on the yellow lightning bolt on the side panel. This will open up a list of powers that you can purchase using certain amounts of money. Purchasing one of these powers will add it to your inventory. Clicking on an item in your inventory will move it to the front of the inventory line. In the side panel, you can see the current power that is at the front of the line, and clicking on the correct building will alllow you to upgrade that building. The list of current powers is as follows:

Image Name Description Initial Cost
Speed Use on house to increase speed of cat. 100
Coffee Use on house to decrease rest time. 100
Strong Use on house to decrease work time. 100
Money Use on workplace to increase work revenue. 1000
Extra Use on any building to increase max upgrade count 1000
Bomb Click on building to turn into intersection, use on intersection to delete it and all connected roads. 50
Cat Buy to increase max cat count by one, price increases. 10000
Road money Click on road to get money every time a cat walks across it, revenue depends on length. 100000
Strong Use on house to decrease work time. 100
Mansion Use on house to multiply all cat's revenue by scruge factor (S) and turn house into mansion, also adds halo to cat's head. 1000000
Broken Mansion Use on house to give cat same effect as Mansion for 30 seconds... and then turn back into normal.

Here is an example of using the mansion on a house.

Scrooge McCat

Every May 18th (date can be viewed on side panel), Scrooge McCat will fly over on his helicopter, and drop out 10 money bundles. Cats that walk over the money bundle will collect a certain amount of the total city cost (calculation is explained shortly) and the money bundle becomes an intersection. The revenue of a money batch can be calculated as follows:

Normal house:
100H + 500W + 100A 100
Mansion:
S(100H + 500W + 100A) 100

Where

H = The number of houses, W = The number of work places, A = The number of ads and S = The scruge factor.

If you look in the side panel, you'll actually notice that ads only cost 50 dollars. This is because ads act as intersections, and only come into play when Scrooge McCat comes, increasing the city cost by 100 dollars. Here is an example of Scrooge McCat:

Please note that the amount of money that a money batch has is calculated right when it is being dropped, not when a cat collects it.
